Natco Trust’s water projects are of the model where safe drinking water is provided to economically underprivileged people who also live in areas with high levels of contamination in their water.

A number of fluorosis affected villages with high-TDS levels in their water have thus been identified in the Nalgonda, Mahboobnagar, Rangareddy, Kurnool and Hyderabad districts, and subsequently, purification plants have been set up.

The youth and women of the villages, in conjunction with the village authorities, are taught a sustainable pattern of operation, distribution and maintenance, and all of these units now run effectively, and autonomously. This system has also provided employment opportunities for a few young men, and for the women’s collectives.

A number of schools in these areas too are being supported with free drinking water for the children.
